Tim's Corner TV To Broadcast Live from The Day of 8's

History will be made on Saturday at Speedway Miramichi. For the first time ever, Tim’s Corner TV (TCMtv) will be broadcasting live on TimsCorner.tv from The Day of 8’s at Speedway Miramichi. For the same price as a single grandstand ticket, fans will be able to enjoy the show live from the comfort of their home. The broadcast will be available worldwide, taking the action at Speedway Miramichi to an audience never before seen.

Fans who cannot be in attendance or may be wary of COVID-19 will have the ability to purchase and watch the professional broadcast at TimsCorner.tv. The broadcast is already available for pre-ordering. On Saturday, multiple cameras will be on site and placed around the facility and a full production team led by well known maritime announcer and promoter Tim Terry will catching and broadcasting the action from the track. Audio from track announcers will be incorporated into the live broadcast, giving fans as close as possible to the at-track experience.

Launched just over a month ago, Tims Corner TV has been providing on-demand broadcast coverage from stock car events throughout Atlantic Canada. The TCMtv team produced the free replay footage from June’s Return to Racing event at Speedway Miramichi and has been growing every week. Saturday’s live show on TimsCorner.tv from Speedway Miramichi will mark a milestone for TCMtv.

“We're excited to bring our new venture to Speedway Miramichi for our first live broadcast from the North Shore!" said Tim Terry of Tim's Corner Motorsports. "Speedway Miramichi has a dedicated group of drivers and teams that we are excited to showcase on Saturday night along with our friends in the Bandolero and Legend divisions. Without the support of Barry Richard, Denver Matchett and their staff at Speedway Miramichi, this would not happen. Get out to the track this weekend and support the team in Miramichi but if you can't, you can catch it on TimsCorner.tv!"

With plans for this event being in the works for month, the team at Speedway Miramichi has been anxiously awaiting this event. Led by owner and operator Barry Richard, management have been readily preparing for this show, prepping the facility to show off the track and its product to a worldwide audience.

“We are thrilled to have the team at TCMtv joining us for The Day of 8’s,” owner Barry Richard said. “The action here at Speedway Miramichi is very unique, with something for everyone. Being able to present our on-track product to fans around the world through a professional broadcast produced by Tim and his team is ground-breaking, and we hope this is the start of something big.”

The Day of 8’s will be an action-packed event from start to finish, with a big Demolition show and 5 classes of stock car action. Demolition action will include five preliminary races each contested over 8 laps, including the Dash for Cash, Powder Puff race, Back-Up Race, Kidney Race, and Tire Race. The grand finale will be a 2-part show, with the first half being a Figure 8 Enduro. The winner will be determined through a Demolition finale after the completion of 48 laps, or when only 6 cars remain. A fireworks display and burnout competition will be incorporated into the show.

Stock car action is headlined by the Tim’s Corner Motorsports Bandolero Blast-Off, a twin-25 lap features show for the class of cars that is scaled-down in size, which will be making their first trip to Miramichi since 2016. A stellar field of young talent is growing for this race. Joining the Bandoleros will be the return of the Legends class for the first time since the 90’s, along with championship points racing from the new Bombers class, plus the Street Stock and Mini Stock divisions.

Friday night a Preview Show will be hosted from the Speedway Miramichi tower, with several special guests taking part. This preview show will be available in video format on TimsCorner.tv for anyone who pre-orders a race subscription, and as an audio broadcast for all. More details will be announced prior to Friday.

The broadcast can be pre-ordered online at TimsCorner.tv for $14.99 USD, which converts to approximately the same price in Canadian dollars as a single adult grandstand ticket. The pay-per-view subscription includes the entire Day of 8’s show LIVE, plus 365 days of on-demand viewing, as well as the additional bonus preview show on Friday night. A portion of the sales of all live broadcasts will go back to support Speedway Miramichi.
