TOWNE AUTO GROUP TO PRESENT THE VERY BEST FALL SHOOTOUT!
Atlantic Canada’s premiere grassroots racing events is set to rock and roll at Speedway Miramichi - with a new partnership setting the stage for the biggest edition ever! Towne Auto Group and its trio of dealerships, Towne Ford, Towne Mazda, and Towne Chrysler have teamed up to present The Very Best Fall Shootout on September 30th and October 1st at Speedway Miramichi.
The two-day motorsports spectacle commences with the Towne Mazda Kick-Off on Friday night. After a successful debut in 2021, this event returns with the Bomber Championship event headlining the card. The 2022 champion will be crowned as the class takes center stage as the opening act showcase. A 50-lap non-points Mini Stock race will also be held, giving drivers an opportunity to test heading into Saturday’s event. The evening wraps up with Street Stock Happy Hour, a one-hour practice session for the cars and stars of the Street Stock division.
Saturday is the biggest day of the year at Speedway Miramichi! The headlining day of The Very Best Fall Shootout presented by Towne Auto Group kicks off with stock car racing including the 6th Annual Towne Ford Street Stock 100! The biggest purse to date for this event is projected, with a big field of drivers anticipated. This race serves as the final Speedway Miramichi Street Stock points race, and the final round of the Maritime Street Stock Series, meaning two champions will be crowned as part of this race which is anticipated to attract over 20 of the best drivers in the region.
Two more champions will be crowned during the stock car portion – the 50-lap Mini Stock race which will see the best of the best enter will serve as the points finale for the Mini Stock division. The Atlantic Modified Tour will also crown their Speedway Miramichi champion during their 35-lap feature, which will serve as the ninth of eleven races on the 2022 tour.
Following stock car racing will be the Towne Chrysler Demolition Blowout – the championship Demolition for the season! A wild and crazy season of Demolition competition wraps up with this show, and it is sure to be intense! It’s been another season of big car counts and big prizes, and we have aimed to save “The Very Best” for last. The crowning of a new champion is always memorable, and this is sure to be a Demolition to remember!

Action kicks off at 7:30pm on Friday September 30th on Towne Mazda Kick-Off Night, with a 30-lap Bomber championship race, a 50-lap Mini Stock feature, and a one-hour Street Stock practice. General grandstand admission is $10 for all, with kids 7 and under being admitted free. Pit admission is $25.
Saturday October 1st is the main event of The Very Best Fall Shootout presented by Towne Auto Group. Post time is 2pm with both stock car and Demolition action being contested. The 6th Annual Towne Ford Street Stock 100 – the biggest and most prestigious stock car race of the year at Speedway Miramichi – will see the best Street Stock drivers from Atlantic Canada descend upon the McKinnon Road oval. A 50-lap Mini Stock feature and a 35-lap Atlantic Modified Tour race will be contested. This will be followed by the Towne Chrysler Demolition Blowout. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $10 for youth ages 8 to 17 years, and seniors 65 years of age or older. Kids 7 and under are admitted free. Pit admission is $25.
