The stakes just got raised for Speedway Miramichi’s May Street Stock event. In honour of the tracks 50th Anniversary, the race will pay homage to a prestigious and popular former Sportsman race from the 90’s – that’s right, for the first time in 22 years, the Brunswick 100 will return. A race which attracted droves of Sportsman cars from around the Maritimes, the Brunswick 100 traditionally was held on the New Brunswick Day long weekend in August during the early to mid 90’s. This race was so popular and prestigious that fans and drivers on the Miramichi continue to talk about it to this day, even though the event was last held in 1996. Speedway Miramichi management is thrilled to release the 2018 schedule of events, consisting of 6 dates for stock car racing and demolition action. The historic 1/3 mile oval, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018, will have action in Street Stock, Mini Stock, and Demolition classes. In addition, the much-anticipated return of the Dukes class will finally happen during the 2018 season.
